Major Mississauga street closed after driver hits pedestrian

A span of a major Mississauga street was closed during evening rush hour on Wednesday (Jan. 5) after a driver struck a pedestrian.
At 5:28 p.m., Peel Regional Police received a report about man who was on foot being struck at Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue. The man’s injuries are considered non-life threatening and he has been transported to hospital. However, eastbound Eglington Ave. is partially closed from Hurontario Street, and drivers are advised to take alternative routes until the roadway reopens.
