UPDATE: Major Mississauga intersection closed after collision

Drivers in Mississauga were advised Friday to take alternative routes to avoid a major intersection after a hit-and-run collision.
At 9:18 p.m., Peel Regional Police received a report of a man lying in the roadway in the area of Dundas Street East and Dixie Road. The motorist had fled the scene. The victim in the collision was taken to a trauma centre, where his injuries were to be assessed.
Due to the collision, eastbound Dundas Street was closed from Dixie Road.
