Major lane reductions on westbound QEW in Oakville to result in delays for drivers

Toronto-bound night drivers on the QEW in Oakville can expect their trip to take them a little longer this week.

Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation is warning drivers about a major closure taking place on the QEW.

Construction on the Toronto-bound highway will lead to lane closures between Dorval Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard beginning at 8 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m. every night through to Saturday (Sept. 11).

Drivers are advised to take a different route if possible. Construction on the QEW is expected to be completed this fall.
