Major intersection closed this morning in Mississauga after cyclist struck

Paramedics and Peel Police are responding to a collision this afternoon in Mississauga.

At 3:55 a.m., it was reported that a cyclist was struck by a vehicle at Mavis Road and Eglinton Ave.

Police say the cyclist was transported to trauma centre with potential life-threatening injuries.

The entire intersection of Mavis Road and Eglinton avenue is closed and will be for a couple of hours.

Police are asking to use alternative routes this morning.

UPDATE: The injuries are non life-threatening and it’s a 19 year-old male cyclist that got struck.
