If you love Christmas events–and really, who doesn’t?–you might be very happy to hear that an exciting annual holiday celebration is coming back to Celebration Square this month.

The City of Mississauga recently announced that its annual Light Up the Square event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

That same day, the somewhat newly introduced Holiday Street Market will take over the Square from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Here’s a look at the day’s schedule:

3 pm – Holiday Street Market
5:05 pm – DJ Live Spin & Skate
5:30 pm – RupLoops
6 pm – DJ Live Spin & Skate
6:15 pm – The Free Label – Human Jukebox
7 pm – Official Ceremony and lighting of the Christmas tree
7:20 pm – RupLoops
7:50 pm – The Free Label – Human Jukebox
8:30 pm – DJ Live Spin & Skate

As far as the Holiday Street Market goes, attendees can start their Christmas shopping a little bit earlier (if you consider late November early).

The event will feature 40+ one-of-a artisanal vendors and a lineup of food trucks serving up curbside cuisine.

The city says residents are invited to take in live performances and entertainment surrounded by thousands of twinkly lights.

According to the city, the Orpheum by Art & Science is an interactive installation and musical instrument combining touch, sound, and lights.

There will be live performances by RupLoops and The Free Label, a one of a kind Human Jukebox, where you pick the playlist.

There will, of course, be an official tree lighting ceremony to formally kick off festive celebrations in Mississauga.

What else can attendees do?

Residents are invited to lace up their skates and hit the ice for the first time this holiday season.
If you don’t have your own skates, you can stop by The Cabin to rent them and enjoy some hot chocolate on the heated patio.

Little ones are also welcome to check out the Candy Cane Forest.

Families can also take photos with Santa and check out the Spark Busker Stage, featuring the Jack Frost Snowball Juggling show and Snowflake Kid – Hula Hoop LED Show.
