Major heat and humidity expected in Mississauga and Brampton

A special weather statement has been issued for Mississauga and Brampton due to very warm, humid weather expected on Monday, June 28.
“A warm and very humid airmass will lie over the regions through Monday. Afternoon humidex values in the upper thirties to near forty are expected. It will be cooler near some lakeshore areas, especially today,” says Environment Canada.
“A slightly cooler and less humid airmass will arrive Tuesday.”
The rest of the week is expected to remain humid and damp, with showers in the forecast all day from Monday to Thursday.
Temperatures will gradually drop as the week goes on, with a high of 30 degrees on Monday to a high of 24 degrees on Thursday.
