It’s hard to believe that it’s officially fall, but it is–and that means that the holiday season is fast approaching.

And if you want to save up a little extra Christmas cash, you might be happy to know that Mississauga’s Radial fulfillment centre is bringing on 350 new workers.

Radial, a bpost group company, recently announced its plan to bring on an additional 300+ workers in Mississauga to handle the holiday season rush.

“As eCommerce grows and expectations around delivery evolves, job opportunities in fulfillment centers have expanded dramatically as warehouse operations can have a direct impact on the consumer experience,” Radial wrote in a news release.

With the rise of eCommerce, there are now more than one million warehouse workers fulfilling online orders in the U.S. according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics – a five percent increase in available jobs from 2017.

In Canada, fulfillment centre jobs are also on the rise.

In fact, Amazon recently announced that up to 500 fulfillment center jobs are up for grabs in Mississauga, Brampton and Milton.

While seasonal work is temporarily, Radial says employees enjoy competitive hourly wages, flexible work schedules, overtime and holiday pay, employee discounts, and a referral bonus program.

Radial says the fulfillment center in Mississauga also provides holiday meals and other events.

Seasonal hires will join the more than 2,950 regular, full-time employees at Radial’s 20 fulfillment centers across the country to help pack and ship customers’ holiday orders.

Radial says there is opportunity for seasonal associates to transition into full-time positions in some markets.

“With a recent study from Radial finding 34 percent of U.S. shoppers expect to receive their packages in two days or less, our team of fulfillment associates work behind the scenes to ensure every order runs seamlessly,” said Sean McCartney, executive vice president, operations services, at Radial.

“We’re thrilled to be creating so many additional jobs in Mississauga and are excited to welcome back the seasonal workers who return each year. If you thrive in an energized, fast-paced, and rewarding workplace, and are looking to be a part of something bigger this holiday season, we’d love for you to join our team.”
