Major Burlington street closed after OPP vehicles damaged in collision

A major Burlington street was closed for over two hours on Tuesday evening after two police vehicles were damaged during pursuit of a motorist.

The Ontario Provincial Police related that North Shore Boulevard was closed at the Queen Elizabeth Way. Officers from the Burlington OPP were pursuing a driver, and the vehicles sustained damage while bringing the driver to a halt. Charges against the driver are pending and the Burlington OPP assisted Hamilton police with a criminal investigation.

The street reopened around 11:40 p.m.
