Major Brampton road closed as Peel Police investigate pair of overnight collisions

Officers are on the scene of an overnight collision in Brampton on Wednesday morning (Dec 16).

Peel Police were called at around 1 a.m. to the area of Williams Parkway West of Kennedy Road to reports of a car collision.

Police say the vehicle was stolen and the driver is believed to have been impaired.

At around 3:50 a.m. police were called to a second scene at Kennedy Road and Church Street in Brampton.

Police say the driver of the stolen vehicle was taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries and the Special Investigations Unit has been notified.

Williams Parkway remains closed for investigation and police are asking drivers to use alternate routes.
