Major Brampton intersection shut down, hydro pole knocked onto vehicle

UPDATE: Police say the intersection will be closed until tomorrow (March 3) and have asked residents to avoid the area.

A serious crash is causing traffic delays in Brampton this afternoon.

At 1:25 p.m., a two-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of Dixie Road and Countryside Drive.

A hydro pole and wires were knocked down onto one of the vehicles.

There were no serious injuries, police said.

The intersection has been shut down and drivers are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
