Major Brampton intersection closed after serious collision

The major collision bureau of the Peel police was investigating a crash at Bovaird Drive and McLaughlin Road on Monday evening (Oct. 18).
At 7:30 p.m., a driver collided with a pedestrian at the intersection. The pedestrian suffered “possible life-altering injuries” and has been taken to a trauma centre.
Other drivers are advised to take alternate routes. Typically, an intersection or street(s) closure lasts several hours when collision investigators are carrying out reconstruction work where they attempt to ascertain the chain of events that caused the crash, including possible criminal liability.
