Porter Airlines has announced that it will be launching new flights to sun destinations from three Ontario airports for its winter 2026-27 season.
The airline said new flights will be available from Toronto, Hamilton and Ottawa.
From Toronto Pearson International Airport, Porter will begin flying to Aruba, Los Cabos, San Jose, and Montego Bay.
Hamilton will get flights to Montego Bay.
And Ottawa will see new service to Aruba, Montego Bay, and Los Cabos.
Porter said it’s the only airline to offer flights to Montego Bay from Hamilton, as well to Aruba and Los Cabos from Ottawa.
“The carrier has been growing at a rapid pace with the introduction of new Embraer E195-E2 aircraft into its fleet, allowing it to expand throughout North America, serving new regions such as the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico,” Porter said.
The airline said it is also increasing capacity for some routes and offering its first international flights from Alberta.
Halifax will also get new flights to Cancun and Fort Lauderdale.
“In total, Porter will operate nearly 5,000 flights to sun destinations for the upcoming winter season. This represents an increase of greater than 150 percent compared to the previous year,” the airline said.
Porter first began operating flights outside of Canada and the United States last year.
“We are concluding an extremely successful first season of flying to southern markets beyond the U.S. and are building on this with additional destinations and routes for next winter,” said Porter’s vice president of network planning and reporting Andrew Pierce.
