Lucky ENCORE win for Beaverton couple

Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Alan and Carol Carter of Beaverton. They matched the last six of seven numbers in exact order in the November 17 LOTTO 6/49 draw to win $100,000.

The Carters, who are grandparents, said the winning ticket was a Free Play they added ENCORE to. “We scanned it multiple times to make sure what we were seeing was right!” said Carol, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings. “It was very emotional – I think I cried.:

“This win couldn’t have come at a better time,” said Alan. “It feels great!”

The pair plan to save their winnings for now.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shell on Highway 48 in Pefferlaw.
