No one won the $70 million jackpot for Tuesday’s Lotto Max draw and now the main prize is nearing its cap.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says the jackpot for Friday’s draw is an estimated $75 million.
There will also be an estimated 12 $1 million maxmillion prizes up for grabs.
Earlier this year, the cap for the Lotto Max jackpot was raised to $80 million from $70 million.
An $80 million prize was split between two tickets — one in Ontario and the other in Quebec — in a Sept. 17 draw.
Friday’s draw is the highest the jackpot has been since that date and only the second time ever it has reached $75 million. If it isn’t won Friday, the next draw will see the jackpot rise to $80 million.
Meanwhile, the OLG told INsauga.com that the biggest prize won by an Ontario ticket for yesterday’s draw was $100,000 on Encore. It was purchased in the Ottawa area.
