Lotto 6/49 jackpot won by ticket sold in Ontario

It was a big weekend for lottery players in Ontario, with several major prizes won in the province on Saturday.

One ticket matched six out of six numbers to win the $5 million Lotto 6/49 classic jackpot.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said a ticket sold in Stoney Creek won that prize.

Also in the classic draw, a ticket sold in Kitchener matched five out of six numbers plus the bonus to win the second-place prize of $222,790.70.

In the gold ball draw, a white ball was pulled and a $1 million prize was handed out.

A ticket sold in London won that prize.

Two Lotto 6/49 tickets won $100,000 each on Encore. One was sold in Ottawa and the other in York Region.

Meanwhile, in the Lottario draw, a jackpot worth $440,895.30 went to a ticket sold in the Kawartha Lakes Region.

And for Ontario 49, two tickets each won $100,000 on Encore.

Both were sold online.

Wednesday’s Lotto 6/49 draw will feature the classic jackpot at its fixed $5 million, as well as the gold ball jackpot at $40 million, or a $1 million prize.
