What she first thought was a prank ended up being a $100,000 payday for a Brampton woman and her family.

Pavitar Chadha is a father from Brampton who said he got an email from OLG recently and thought maybe he had won a free play.

But Chadha said he was shocked to see he had won $100,000 by matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in the exact order in the Lott0 6/49 draw on Feb. 4.

“I clicked the link and saw that I won $100,000 and couldn’t believe my eyes,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his prize. “I sent a screenshot to my wife and then called her. She thought it was a joke.”

The 49-year-old father says he plans to use his winnings to pay for his kid’s education and save the rest for a rainy day.

Encore offers 22 ways to win and can be played in conjunction with most lottery games for an extra $1. There is an Encore draw every day.

OLG supports safe play and wants to keep the fun in the game. That’s why OLG is proud to be a leader in promoting responsible gambling with our globally recognized PlaySmart program.

The winning ticket was purchased online on OLG.ca.
