‘Lots of smoke’ in Mississauga, so take alternative routes

Motorists in Mississauga were told late Friday night to avoid an area where a fire has been reported.
At 9:11 p.m. on May 6, the Peel Regional Police received a report about reports of a blaze in the area of Finfar Court and South Sheridan Way. It was not immediately clear whether the fire originated in a dumpster or trees near a building. Drivers should choose alternative routes.
“Lots of smoke so avoid the area,” Peel police said in a tweet.
City of Mississauga firefighting crews have responded. No injuries have resulted from the fire, and it is not considered suspicious.
