‘Lost package’ scam targeting residents in Mississauga and Brampton

If you’re waiting on a package and you get a text saying it was lost, don’t be too quick to believe it.
A local resident recently got a text message from an unknown number, claiming that they lost an unspecified package.
The text tries to get you to click on a suspicious link:
Residents are advised to be wary of scam texts like this and avoid clicking the link or responding, as such texts can be used by scammers to attempt to steal your personal information.
