A long-time Mississauga McDonald’s is re-opening again after a short closure.

The fast-food restaurant is located in the plaza at 601 Lakeshore Rd E, near Cawthra Rd.

The store will re-open again on Friday (April 22) after a short stint where renovation work was done to update the look and feel of the restaurant.

To celebrate the re-opening, the location will have a special promotion on from April 25 to May 1 where $1 from every Egg McMuffin and Big Mac sold will be donated to the Mississauga Food Bank.

The goal is to raising $10,000 for the food bank.

Statement from McDonald’s says franchise owner Larry McCormick has a long history of giving back to the community through his personal contributions and through his restaurants where he has raised funds for Trillium Health Partners and Ronald McDonald House.
