The Urban Mrkt opened last weekend in downtown Oshawa with a bang, with lineups two city blocks long for the August 1 grand opening.

Billed as an “elevated farmers market experience in downtown Oshawa,” the Urban Mrkt took over and re-purposed the former Royal Bank building at Simcoe Street and Bond Street.

Fresh produce and culinary treats from Korean barbeque to Canadian poutine form the core of the market’s offerings, along with baked goods and unique vendors selling everything from crafts and flowers to sauces and ciders.
