Lone man tries to rob Oshawa bank, flees without cash

Police are looking for one suspect after an attempted bank robbery in north Oshawa yesterday.

On Thursday, at approximately 5:46 p.m., Durham Police were called to the TD Canada Trust on Ritson Road North at the 5 Points Mall. A lone man had entered the branch and demanded money from the teller.

He fled without any cash.

A K-9 Unit tracked the area but did not locate the suspect. The investigation is on-going but police did not give any description of the man.

Anonymous information can be sent to Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
