Loblaw reports COVID-19 cases among Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton staff

The Loblaw grocery chain has reported five new COVID-19 cases over the past four days that are related to stores in the Mississauga, Brampton and Hamilton areas.

On Friday, an employee of a Real Canadian Superstore location in Mississauga (3050 Argentia Rd.) tested positive for COVID-19. Their last shift was on June 1.

The same location also had an employee test positive on June 6.

On Thursday, an employee at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Mississauga (1685 Tech Ave.) had a positive test. Their most recent shift was June 4.

Also on Thursday, an employee at a Hamilton Fortinos location (65 Mall Rd.) tested positive. They had most recently worked on June 2.

On Wednesday, an employee at a Stoney Creek Fortinos location (21 Upper Centennial Pkwy. S.) tested positive. They had most recently worked on June 2.

An employee at a Fortinos location in Brampton (35 Worthington Ave.) tested positive on Tuesday. Their most recent shift came on May 30.

In the event of a positive COVID-19 case, Loblaw says it will work closely with public health to notify close contacts and clean/sanitize affected stores. Loblaw tracks cases across Canada at loblaw.ca/en/covid-19.
