Loaded handgun found in Brampton leads to charges for St. Catherines man

Firearms, cannabis and multiple other charges have been laid against a St. Catherines man who police say was found with a loaded handgun in Brampton.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday (June 7), Peel Regional Police say officers were investigating a vehicle in the area of Bramalea Rd. and Larkspur Rd. in Brampton.

A loaded .40 calibre handgun was seized by officers and a 20-year-old man from St. Catherines was arrested, police said.

Malcolm Alleyne-Pinnock was charged by police with seven offences including unauthorized possession of a firearm, drive vehicle with cannabis readily available, and drive motor vehicle with open container of liquor.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton, police said. None of the allegations have been proven in court.
