Loaded gun seized during a compliance check in Brampton

Police seized a loaded gun during a compliance check in Brampton on the weekend.
Officers were doing compliance checks (complying with court release orders) in the area of Griselda Crescent and Glenforest Road in Brampton on Oct. 7, Peel Regional Police said in a press release.
Police attempted to speak with a man standing beside a vehicle. But as officers approached, he fled to a nearby residence, police said.
Four men were in the vehicle who were allegedly breaking cannabis and liquor laws, police said. The driver fled the scene prior to the vehicle being searched.
Police said they found a loaded Glock firearm and ammunition in the vehicle.
Police charged four people in connection with the search.
Antonio Glaze, a 21-year-old man from Brampton, faces a charge of failing to comply with judicial release.
Muhmmad Bhatti, a 22-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle, and possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition.
Rico Ahumada, a 23-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle, and possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition.
Nathan Nezbeth, a 23-year-old man from Brampton, was charged with possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession in a motor vehicle, and possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition.
They were all held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
The driver of the vehicle remains outstanding.
