A Mississauga man faces a rash of firearm charges after police found a loaded gun and other improperly stored weapons and ammunition inside a home in the city’s north end earlier this week.
Peel Regional Police said officers seized an illegal loaded Glock handgun and a number of improperly stored registered firearms and ammunition after executing a search warrant on Monday at a residence near Brandon Gate Drive and Morning Star Drive in Malton, near Toronto Pearson Airport.
A man was arrested a short time later.
Sean Reid, 35, of Mississauga, is charged with:
- unauthorized possession of a firearm
- knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- possession of a loaded restricted firearm
- careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition (three counts)
- possession of property obtained by crime
He was held for a bail hearing and made a first appearance in Brampton court.
