A traffic stop in Brampton Tuesday resulted in the discovery of a loaded gun and multiple charges for the two occupants.

Peel Police say 22 Division officers stopped a car near McMurchy Ave. S. and Queen St. W. on Feb. 20, with the investigation revealing a loaded Glock 22 handgun with an extended magazine in the vehicle.

Jamari Bailey, a 20-year-old Brampton man who is currently on a release order for firearm-related charges, now has ten more charges to add to his resume, including four gun-related offences and an obstruction charge.

Emily Mauro, 22, also from Brampton, has been charged with eight offences, including the same four firearm charges.

Both appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Wednesday for a bail hearing.
