Two Hamilton women and an Ottawa teen are facing charges after police seized a loaded Glock 40 handgun inside a stolen car in Mississauga last night (March 20).

Peel Regional Police say patrol officers in the area of Hurontario St. and Britannia Rd. investigated a stolen vehicle just after 7:30 p.m. and subsequently discovered the loaded firearm.

A 17-year-old male from Ottawa is charged with numerous offences including possession of property obtained by crime (three counts), unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, other firearms offences and possession of a controlled substance.

He’s being held pending a bail hearing.

Asia Martin, 20, and Daniela Delgado, 18, both of Hamilton, are charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

Both have been released with conditions and are scheduled to attend court at a later date.
