It was a night for the incumbents as all four Niagara MPPs were returned to Queen’s Park.

Niagara Centre: This riding was the tightest race of the night but NDP incumbent Jeff Burch won the evening with a 500 vote win over Conservative Fred Davis.

Niagara Falls-Fort Erie-Niagara-on-the-Lake: NDP incumbent Wayne Gates easily beat Conservative Bob Gale more than 4,800 votes.


Niagara West: Conservative Sam Oosterhoff won this one five minutes after the polls closed and by the end of the night, clobbered NDP challenger Dave Augustyn by 10,000 votes.

St. Catharines: NDP incumbent Jennie Stevens hung tough beating Conservative candidate Sal Sorrento more than 1,800 votes.
