Nothing like live music to help Burlington in its COVID-19 pandemic recovery.

Live music returns to the city with the Burlington Downtown Jazz Festival, set to take stage at the outdoor plaza at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre on Aug. 14 and Aug. 15.

“Yay! A concert! Yay! A live audience,” said performer Kellylee Evans, who will be taking stage at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

The Jazz Festival lineup features four separate ticketed concerts. Also performing live weekend shows are Samantha Martin and Delta Sugar, Lydia Persaud and Elise LeGrow.

Evans is thrilled to be back on stage and playing in front of live crowds once again.

“Jazz Fest was one of my first concerts after a long recovery from a head injury back in 2017, and now this is one of my first live concerts after what we can only hope is our pandemic recovery,” said Evans, who was struck by lightning in 2013 and suffered a major concussion in 2015.

“These are milestones I’m honoured to experience in and share with the Burlington Jazz Fest audience. I can’t wait.”

Tickets can be purchased for individual performances or as a set for all four. Groups of three or more can reserve tables, while smaller groups will be seated on stools.

Tickets are available through the Burlington Centre for Performing Arts website at https://burlingtonpac.ca/.
