Lincoln woman charged as accessory to murder in Fort Erie death

A third person has been charged as an accessory in connection with a homicide investigation in Fort Erie, police say.

Niagara Regional Police Service said that further investigation has led to additional arrest. Hendrika Skelton, 63, of Lincoln, was arrested on Wednesday (Aug. 11) and charged with accessory after the fact to murder. This is an indictable offence under the Criminal of Code of Canada and carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

Skelton will have a court appearance in St. Catharines on Friday (Aug. 13).

Late on June 9, NRPS officers were called to a home in the area of Mathewson Avenue and Dovercourt Road in Fort Erie, where they located the body of a man without vital signs. 

Andrew Blais, 29, and Tristan Skelton, 29, both of Fort Erie, were arrested and charged with second-degree murder on June 12.
