If you regularly use the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (LINC) in Hamilton, you should plan an alternate route for three days this month.

The City of Hamilton recently announced that it will close the LINC (both east and westbound sides) for three days beginning Friday, May 26.

The City says the eastbound closure will run from Golf Links Rd. to the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway off-ramp, and the westbound closure will run from the Red Hill Valley Parkway to Mohawk Rd.

The City says access to the Highway 403 on-ramps and the Rousseaux St. off-ramp will be maintained, with access available from the Mohawk Rd. on-ramp.

The Golf Links Rd. on-ramp will be closed.

The City says the work on the LINC will include spot resurfacing and asphalt repairs, graffiti removal, bridge and signage repairs, pavement markings, catch basin cleaning and more.

Work might be delayed due to inclement weather.

Work on the eastbound side will begin at 8 am on May 26, and work on the westbound side will begin at 10 am the same day.

Increased traffic is expected due to the closure and drivers are asked to give themselves extra time and obey all detour signs.
