Beach Boys rock music legends Mississauga Paramount

One of the greatest rock bands in the world will make a stop in Mississauga next year.

The Beach Boys, who have mixed surf culture and themes of an endless summer with sweet harmonies for audiences around the world, will perform at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre on April 3, 2025.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Nov. 29, through Ticketmaster.

Formed in California in 1961 with brothers Brian, Carl, and Dennis Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and school friend Al Jardine, the band has produced a string of top hits that remain staples on classic rock radio.

With songs such as California Girls, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, Good Vibrations, I Get Around, Barbara Ann, Little Deuce Coupe, Surin’ U.S.A., Don’t Worry Baby, Surfin’ Safari and Be True to Your School, the Beach Boys are one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful bands of all time, with over 100 million records sold worldwide.

Although recently retired, the influence of Brian Wilson, the driving force behind the band, remains.

Considered a pop-music icon whose stature ranks along with Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Chuck Berry, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, Pete Townshend, and Elvis Presley, Wilson’s legacy permeates the band’s sound and continues to spark the creativity of musicians today who hail his music as timeless and his work on the Pet Sounds album as genius.

Today’s touring band includes original singer Mike Love and multi-instrumentalist Bruce Johnston who first joined in 1965 and has performed on and off ever since. Rounding out the line-up is musical director Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago and John Wedemeyer.

The show marks a return of the Paramount Fine Foods Centre (formerly the Hershey Centre) as a music venue which pre-COVD days has hosted Green Day, Chris Brown, The Tragically Hip, B.B. King, and the White Stripes.
