Learn-to-play field hockey session for kids in Burlington, Oakville, Milton

If you’ve got a child between the ages of 6 and 17 in Oakville, Burlington, Milton or Halton Hills who’s always wanted to learn more about about field hockey, then mark this Saturday down on your calendar.
The Halton Field Hockey Club is hosting a Learn-to-Play session Saturday, Mar. 25, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, 1132 Invicta Dr., Oakville.
The session is open to both new players, who want to learn about the sport, and returning players, who are looking for a refresher before the outdoor season begins.
Coaches from the club will take players, both boys and girls, through the basics. They’ll get hands-on experience through mini-game play and no experience is necessary.
Participants will require running shoes, shin pads and a mouth guard. There is a $15 fee for the session.
