LCBO celebrates opening of Greece boutique in Mississauga

Get a taste of Greece without leaving the city as the LCBO opens a new destination boutique store in Mississauga.
The LCBO Destination Collection: Greece boutique store opens in the LCBO at Erin Mills Town Centre, 5100 Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga on Oct. 24, according to the LCBO.
This is the second LCBO Destination Collection: Greece boutique store. The first is in the heart of Greektown at 200 Danforth Ave., in Toronto.
LCBO destination collections are enhanced collections of products focusing on a country, region or style. Other collections include California, Central Europe, East Asia, France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
The Mississauga Greek destination boutique will carry 116 Greek products. Overall, the LCBO
retail stores and LCBO.com carry over 200 Greek products.
The focus will be on Greek wines. Greece boasts 33 appellations or Protected Designations of Origin (PDO), and 114 Protected Geographical Indications (PGI), the LCBO said.

“From volcanic islands to vineyards surrounded by mountains, Greece’s key wine regions have traditions dating back thousands of years, combined with an enthusiasm for experimenting with new grape varieties,” the LCBO states on their website.
The new boutique celebration on Oct. 24 starts at 10 a.m. with special tastings throughout the day until 8 p.m.
The Erin Mills Town Centre LCBO store is open Sunday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
