Lawn signs being sold in Milton for Remembrance Day fundraiser

The Milton Legion is selling lawn signs for Remembrance Day to support veterans and raise funds for a local organization.
Proceeds from sales of the locally-made lawn signs will go towards the Milton Legion’s poppy fund and the Townsend Smith Foundation to help with their goal of building a hospice for North Halton.
The signs were designed by Milton Councillor, Sameera Ali, who will be serving as the Poppy Co-Chair for their branch this year.
“I’ve designed these signs to raise funds for the Townsend Smith Foundation and our poppy fund,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
The cost of each sign is $20 and must be paid in cash only.
In support of the fundraiser, Councillor Mike Cluett posted a photo of himself with a sign encouraging members of the community to show their support for veterans.
