Lawn mower accident leaves man dead in Ontario

A lawn mower accident left a man dead in Ontario over the weekend, police say.

Ontario Provincial Police said that at around 8 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a riding lawn mower accident on Salem Road in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Kawartha Lakes paramedics and firefighters also responded to the scene.

The operator of the lawn mower — a 69-year-old man from Little Britain — died at the scene.

Police didn’t provide additional information on the nature of the accident or what may have caused it.

Salem Road was closed in the area for several hours after the incident as officers investigated.
