As of Sunday morning, April 19, the province is up to 10,578 reported COVID-19 cases, up 568 from yesterday’s report.

553 deaths have been reported.

Meanwhile, 809 people are currently hospitalized, with 247 in ICU and 196 in ICU on a ventilator.

At this time, 5,209 cases are considered resolved.

In Hamilton there are currently 321 confirmed positive cases (up 5 from yesterday’s report) and 7 probable cases for a total of 328. The city reports:

  • 41 (13%) of these cases were ever hospitalized for COVID-19
  • 60 (19%) of these cases are long-term care facility residents or retirement home residents
  • 14 (4%) deaths due to COVID-19
  • 142 (43%) of these cases have been resolved
