Late-night television host Trevor Noah set for rare Mississauga appearance

Comedian, political commentator and late-night talk show host Trevor Noah is coming to Mississauga for a rare Canadian appearance.

As part of an event presented by Islamic Relief Canada, A Conversation with Trevor Noah takes place this Saturday, March 19, at Paramount Fine Foods Centre.

Starting at 2 p.m., the event will also feature academics and experts of Islamic knowledge Dr. Dalia Fahmy and Ustadh AbdelRahman Murphy, who will speak on the topics of celebrating the power of community.

Since 2014 the South African born 38-year-old Noah has hosted The Daily Show and has received a Primetime Emmy Award for his work on the late night television show.

Noah has also twice hosted the Grammy Awards and Time magazine has named him one of the Hundred Most Influential People in the Word.

Islamic Relief Canada brings emergency aid to areas around the world when disasters occur. The organization also provides lasting education, water, sanitation and healthcare to those in impoverished nations.
