Late-night shooting on Hamilton Mountain believed to be targeted

Police in Hamilton are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the wee hours of Monday morning.
On Monday (March 14), Hamilton Police Service (HPS) officers responded to the report of a shooting in the area of Upper Kenilworth Avenue and Trenholme Crescent, which occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m.. The responding officers located bullet holes at a residence in the area.
“Police are treating this incident as targeted,” an HPS media release stated. “There is no risk to public safety.”
The case is in the hands of the Division 30 Criminal Investigation Branch, who are asking residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras around the time of the incident.
