Lovers looking to get hitched in a hurry don’t have much time left to sign up for the last marriage ceremonies of the season at the Brampton Farmer’s Market.
Civil marriage ceremonies have been a part of the Brampton Farmer’s Market since 2022 and the final day to tie the knot in downtown Brampton is fast approaching.
The final round of Farmer’s Market marriages will be performed on Sept. 21, but couples only have until end-of-day Friday to register.
“Enhanced by the vibrance of downtown Brampton, getting married on the steps of City Hall is an unforgettable start to a new life together,” the city says of the civil ceremonies.
The ceremonies offer a unique wedding experience that won’t break the bank compared to an extravagant celebration.
Couples still need a marriage licence and are required to register with the city. Civil marriage ceremonies will run couples $250, which doesn’t include the cost of a licence.
Applications to get married at the 2024 Brampton Farmers’ Marker must be made in person at city hall. Marriage licence appointments can be made using the City of Brampton’s online portal or by visiting City Hall in person from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays.
You must obtain a marriage licence before getting married in Ontario.
