Largest Canada Day street festival and parade return to Mississauga

Mississauga’s biggest Canada Day street festival is back: Canada Day #INThePort returns to the city’s lakeside neighbourhood of Port Credit on July 1st.

This year’s festival also marks the return of the Canada Day parade. The parade will feature a variety of floats, performers, community groups and marching bands travelling along Lakeshore Road from Rosewood Avenue to Seneca Avenue between 11 a.m. and noon.

Following the morning parade, visitors can enjoy a full day of live music, entertainment, family activities, food experiences, shopping, and local vendors, ending with a spectacular fireworks finale over the waterfront at night.

Here’s when it’s happening:

Canada Day Parade

  • 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Lakeshore Road from Rosewood Avenue to Seneca Avenue

Street Festival

  •  12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Fireworks

  • Fireworks Spectacular starts at 10:15 p.m.

Enjoy talented performers on the main stage, including headliner Suzie McNeil, famous Canadian pop rock singer and songwriter.

Then at 10:15 p.m., get ready for a spectacular fireworks show over the waterfront. For the best viewing experience, arrive early at any of the recommended viewing spots along the shoreline.

The biggest Canada Day street festival in Mississauga, the celebration will take place along Lakeshore Road from Stavebank Road to Hurontario Street, transforming Port Credit’s main street into a vibrant festival filled with live entertainment, family activities, food, shopping, and community spirit.

Festivalgoers can turn their visit into a staycation with an overnight stay at the Waterside Inn, the nearby hotel known for its casual elegance and contemporary design.

Here’s who’s taking the stage this year:

Main Stage Lineup

  • 12:00 p.m.: Left Turn Red
  • 2:00 p.m.: Cory Hotline
  • 4:00 p.m.: Pink Leather Jackets – Artist Name
  • 6:00 p.m.: Marshall Dane
  • 8:00 p.m.: Message from local dignitaries and PCBIA
  • 8:15 p.m.: Suzie McNeil (Headline Performance)
  • O Canada: 10:00 p.m. with Patti Jannetta Baker

Beyond the main stage, visitors can also enjoy live entertainment across four additional performance stages throughout the festival from noon to 8:30 p.m. Check out the full entertainment lineup here.

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, walk, cycle, take transit, or park outside the event area and enjoy a short stroll into the festivities.

Note that parking will not be available along Lakeshore Road or within the road closure areas during Canada Day #INThePort. For help on where to park and how to get around, visit Port Credit’s website.
