Large police presence on scene for person in crisis in Burlington

There’s a heavy presence of police officers, tactical officers, and paramedics for a person in crisis this afternoon in Burlington.

Police say they’ve been on scene since before noon for a male barricaded inside an apartment on Prospect Street east of Brant Street.

The male is talking with officers but has not left the apartment, police say.

While Prospect St remains open, it’s recommended that residents avoid the area if possible.
