Large police presence in Burlington! No worries, just training

Halton Regional Police were out in large numbers today (March 29) conducting training exercises.
Officers, many in tactical gear, could be seen at Robert Bateman High School on New St.
While the training has been taking place inside the building, several police vehicles could be seen on the grounds of the old school.
The exercises are expected to continue until 4 p.m. Police say they will provide an update later in the day.
The Bateman school is currently unused as the City of Burlington prepares to renovate the building into a community centre and neighbourhood meeting place.
Members of the public are advised of a significant police presence at Robert Bateman High School in Burlington until 4pm today for a multi-service training exercise. An update will follow once complete.
