Large Dollarama finds new home at an Oakville plaza

A busy Oakville shopping plaza just got a little busier.
Dollarama, the popular discount retailer, has recently opened shop at Maple Grove Village on Cornwall Rd. at Maple Grove Dr.
The store debuted last week in the space formerly occupied by a fitness centre and is one of the larger Dollarama’s in town.
Maple Grove Village is also home to Sobeys, Pet Value, Rexall and several takeout eateries including Tim Hortons.
Dollarama continues to grow according to third-quarter financial results released by the company.
Sales at stores increased by almost 15 per cent from the previous year and 18 stores were opened in Canada bringing the total to 1,462 across the country.

Known for its broad assortment of consumable products, general merchandise and seasonal items, most goods in the store are priced $5 or less.
The company is now also involved in the Latin America market owning 50 per cent of Dollarcity which has locations in El Salvador, Guatemala, Colombia and Peru.
