Lanes blocked on Hwy 401 causing major backup outside of Mississauga in Milton

Drivers travelling this evening on the 401 can expect major delays and traffic congestion moving westbound.

According to 511 Ontario, three lanes are currently closed at Ninth Line Road in Milton, just outside of Mississauga.

Westbound 401 traffic is heavy starting from Winston Churchill in Mississauga.

The traffic disruption is a result of a collision, although details of the incident have not been disclosed.

The duration of the closures is currently unknown.
