Lane restrictions in effect due to roadwork in Hamilton

Residents should be aware of some lane restrictions affecting traffic in Hamilton today (Dec. 28).

Hamilton Water is currently on scene for a sewer lateral replacement at 233 West Avenue North, near Wellington St N/Barton St E.

Work began at 7:30 a.m. and is expected to wrap up by 4:00 p.m.

Until then, there will be lane restrictions on West Avenue North from Barton St E to Robert St.

Motorists should take alternate routes and avoid the area.
