Motorists using the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge can expect delays due to alternating lane closures.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) will be completing maintenance beginning Monday (Oct. 31).

The work is expected to go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and conclude Friday afternoon.

“The bridge will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians, and marine traffic will not be affected,” according to PSPC. “The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.”

The Burlington Canal Lift Bridge provides access to thousands of vehicles and pedestrians entering Hamilton Harbour.
