Korean fried chicken restaurant opens first location in Mississauga

The wait is over for those who love Korean fried chicken.
Pelicana Chicken has opened its first location in Mississauga at 4040 Creditview Rd. Unit 23.
The restaurant first opened in Daejeon, South Korea in 1982. And since then expanded to more than 2,000 stores with locations in China, Australia, Mongolia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Taiwan, and the United States, according to their website.
There are currently only three locations in Ontario — one at Yonge and Bloor in Toronto and a third opening in North York.
The restaurant specializes in Korean fried chicken in a variety of flavours including garlic, soy, Pelicana seasoned, snow cheese ppurio, dak gang jung and more. There are options for those who love spice.
Guests have a choice of boneless, bone-in or wings — you can choose the number of pieces and sauce on the chicken or the side.

The side dish menu is different at each location but can include chicken sandwiches, stir-fried chicken gizzards and kimchi fried rice.
Pelicana attributes its success to a variety of sauces and fresh ingredients. The chicken is prepared fresh daily. And they use veggie-fed, non-GMO, cage-free chicken.
