You can see when street sweepers will be making their way through your Brampton neighbourhoods and make sure you move vehicles out of the way using the city’s tracking map.

The City of Brampton’s summer street sweeping operations run until the Thanksgiving weekend, clearing salt, sand and debris from roads left behind from winter road operations and summer weather..

Residents are being urged to keep vehicles off the street to avoid obstructing the street sweeping operations, and you can track where sweepers are using Brampton’s street sweeper map.

The map shows colour-coded areas currently being swept and those that are upcoming or haven’t been hit yet, giving residents an idea of when their neighbourhood will be swept.

Areas in grey have already been swept, while areas in green are currently undergoing street sweeping operations.

Summertime street sweeping occurs on all city-owned roads with a top coat of asphalt including bridges, catch basins and gutters, boulevards and medians, sidewalks and walkways, parking lots at City of Brampton Recreation Centres and other City facilities.

Country roads without curbs are flushed or swept as required, and residents are urged to place garbage containers and recycling boxes far enough from the roadway on collection days to make room for the sweepers.
