Knife-wielding bandits rob Whitby drug store

Durham Police are looking for four knife-wielding men who robbed a Whitby drug store Thursday afternoon.

Just before 5 p.m. police were called to the IDA Pharmacy on Dundas Street near Garrard Avenue after reports of a robbery in progress. The four suspects, police say, entered the store and demanded cash and narcotics from the employees.

The suspects escaped in a silver Toyota Rav4.

The victims did not receive any physical injuries.

Anyone with surveillance or dash-cam video in the area at the time of the incident or anyone with new information about this investigation is asked to contact the Investigative Services-Robbery Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5355.
